Hi Sarah! I haven’t done a long ferment on this recipe before, but I am sure you can do it! I would suggest mixing together the butter, sugar, starter, flour, and milk and letting that ferment overnight. And then the next day adding in the salt, baking soda, vanilla, and eggs. If you do, let me know how it goes!

I made it for my son’s birthday. I made it as a layered cake with buttercream frosting and raspberry in the middle. It was super delicious. I will definitely use this recipe again.
